Yapikachi Msiska joined the department in April 2017. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration obtained from Chancellor College in 2016. She is passionate about education, children and community participation. As such during her studies she coordinated Stimulus Baby Wave Project whose mission is to assist rural disadvantaged children in Malawi to attain and develop their creativity, self-confidence and open-mindedness. She was responsible for the coordination of Stimulus projects and the development of proposals for project funding. Prior to joining the department she worked at AH Consulting Ltd under the management and quality assurance and Business Development department of the ESCOM EMIS Project (2014-2018) as a consulting intern. She gained vast skills and knowledge on project management and obtained hands on experience in business development research on projects throughout Africa. She has been involved in various research projects and publications and her research interests include education, public policy, local governance, gender and development.
